Before picking up a camera professionally, I spent 22 years as a veterinary technician specializing in critical care and anesthesiology. It was a career that demanded precision, compassion, and the ability to connect with people during emotional, high-stakes moments. That experience deeply shaped how I work with clients today: creating safe, supportive spaces.

After leaving the veterinary world, I transitioned into real estate, working in staging and design. That’s where my love of visual storytelling truly started to bloom. I began to see the world through the lens of light, color, and emotion. And despite being told I wasn’t “creative enough,” I knew the fire inside me told a different story.

In 2023, while facing the challenges of single motherhood, the ups and downs of divorce, a shift in careers, and my own self healing..... Lumina Studio was born!

But this isn’t just a business to me. It’s a passion project, a creative calling, and a legacy. I do this work not only to inspire others, but to encourage my daughter to embrace her own creativity, boldness, and adventure. (The photo on this page was taken by her, with a little help)
